Privacy policy

WorkCtx is built to collect as little about you as possible. In the software, that is nothing at all. Here is the whole of it.
The software
WorkCtx runs on your own computer or on a removable drive. There are no accounts. It never connects to us: no telemetry, no crash reports, no update checks, no licence server. Everything it stores stays on your device or drive, encrypted with keys that only you hold, and we have no way to see it.
The browsers it opens talk to the websites you visit in them, as any browser does; those websites' own privacy policies apply. WorkCtx puts a password on your clipboard only when you ask it to, and clears it again shortly after.
The website
workctx.app is a set of static files. It has no analytics, sets no cookies, and loads nothing from third parties. Our web server keeps standard access logs (your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser's description of itself) for up to fourteen days, for security and to keep the site running. They are not used for anything else.
Buying a licence
Paid licences are sold through a merchant of record, named at checkout, who collects your name, email address and payment details as the seller and handles them under its own privacy policy. From the merchant we receive what we need to issue your licence and answer support requests: your email address, your order reference, and what you bought. We keep that for as long as your licence exists, and we do not sell it or share it with anyone else.
If you email us, we keep the email so that we can reply and refer back to it.
Children
WorkCtx is a tool for professional work and is not directed at children.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you (which is at most an email address and an order reference), ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email contact@sbc.software.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is posted at workctx.app with a new effective date.
